Why would you want to pay to train yourself before joining a new company?

It’s a low-cost investment in differentiation.

Providing your certificate together with your resume says, “I’m serious about compliance and ready to work on Day One.”

It reflects your workplace values.

It implies, “I will treat your workforce with respect.”

Time is more flexible during the job search stage.

Once you start in a new position, the schedule gets very hectic.  Why not train now, at your leisure?

You’ll likely have to do it anyway.
